Changes to data protection law
As you may already be aware, the 25th May 2018 marks the enforcement of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The GDPR will replace the Data Protection Act 1998 and is designed to strengthen the safety and security of all data held within an organisation, and make sure processing and storage procedures are consistent.
The Ashington Learning Partnership are not changing how we use or collect your data but we have updated our policy. Also our privacy notice now more clearly explains how, why, where or when we store and process your data and your rights under GDPR.
A copy of our privacy notices and policy are available on the schools’ websites. Where it is appropriate for us to gain further consent to carry out any data processes under the new regulations, we will be in touch in due course.
If you have any questions about how the GDPR affects you, or how our school is dealing with this, you can contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org.
